Hi knitters!
Today we are going to learn a new knitting technique: waffle stitch.
We would like to show you how to knit this useful, funny and delicious technique! We call this technique waffle stitch due to the similar forms and lines of the technique and the Belgian sweet. You will be able to use it on all your WAK garments.
To start with this technique, you need to cast on onto your WAK wooden needles a number of stitches that should be a multiple of 3 + 1 stitch.
Cast on the stitches and let’s start!
Row 1: knit 1 stitch, purl 2 stitches and finish the row following this step and knitting 1 stitch.
Row 2: purl 1 stitch, knit 2 stitches and finish the row following this step and purling 1 stitch.
Row 3: Knit all stitches as they appear on the row.
Row 4: Purl all the stitches.
Repeat these steps until you have reached the wished length!
Share with us on Instagram your WAK designs and projects using this technique.
