How did you learn to knit?
I actually learned when I was about 10 ! A family friend decided to teach my sister and I. But I really got into knitting when I was 18.
What is your favorite stitch or technique?
I don’t really have a favorite stitch just because I have so much to learn but I learned how to cable knit and that was amazing !
Do you prefer to knit for yourself or do you prefer to give your knitting as a gift?
To be honest.. myself ! I’ve made multiple sleeveless vests and I love layering them with my outfits !
When is your favorite time of day to knit?
At night in my bed when I’m watching my shows on the computer, I love watching movies and knitting at the same time. I also LOVE to knit in the subway in NYC!
What is your favorite WE ARE KNITTERS kit?
I love the Folie Vest kit !!!!!
What is the most difficult thing you’ve ever knitted?
A crocheted « granny square » for my knitting class.. I was so lost and overwhelmed. It was so hard to do !
Have you any pending challenge to knit?
I just started hand weaving and I’ve been doing it a lot. My next challenge is to make an entire jacket with sleeves out of my weaving pieces !
What is your favorite city in the world?
I was born and grew up in Paris so I would definitively say Paris without hesitation.
What is your favorite song?
Genesis, by Grimes!
The best advice that you’ve ever received…
Be thankful for the things you have especially the things that make you happy !
Do you have a favorite actor/actress?
Not really… but I do have a favorite movie ! American Beauty is my number 1 !
Nowadays you live in NYC. What’s your favorite place of the city?
The first year I moved here, I got myself a bike. Ridding my bike over the Manhattan bridge is one of my favorite things to do especially when it’s during sunset. It’s such a beautiful view and once you’re ridding down hill, it’s so much fun !
Which person, living or dead, would you like to meet?
My uncle Harry, he passed away in 1991 so 2 years before I was born. I’ve always been told he was an incredible person and that I would of loved him. My family is very important to me.
If anyone asks for your future plans… What’s your answer?
I’m graduating at the end of the year and I’m still deciding what I want to do, stay in New York.. or move back to Paris ? I maybe see myself opening a store somewhere or working for a textile driven company… Who knows !
