Those of you who follow us on our blog already know that we love simple and pretty stitches. Since many of you knitters are on vacation, it is the perfect time to start knitting a sweater for the cooler nights to come. Made with our cotton yarn you will have a yummy garment that you won’t want to take off.

For this tutorial we used a skein of our Pima cotton  and a pair of our size 8 beechwood knitting needles.

As usual, before beginning, we give you a list of the stitches we are going to use, in case you need to do a quick review of any of them 😉

Let’s get started!

Start by casting on a multiple of 6 + 1 stitches.

Row 1 (right side): kit the whole row.

Row 2 (wrong side): purl the whole row.

Row 3 (right side): start the row by knitting 1, then *yarn over, purl 1, purl 3 together, purl 1, yarn over, knit 1*. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row.

Row 4 (wrong side): purl the whole row.

To continue knitting you just have to repeat rows 1 to 4 as many times as needed.

We hope you like this stitch and that choose to knit something with it. It looks beautiful! As always, we hope you will share your projects on social networks using the hashtag #weareknitters.
